By the Sea Home & Gardens is a dual-licensed landscaping and general construction crew based in Bandon, run by Geoffrey and Holly Smith. Fencing, patios, decks and greenhouses outside, kitchen and bath remodels inside, all under one roof.

Landscape Design & Hardscape
Paver and stone-circle-kit patios, dry creek beds, pea gravel trails, grading and mounding for planting. Holly Smith designs around ADA access, kids, pets and the coastal wind.
Fencing, Gates & Decking
Two-rail and cable fencing, horizontal cedar privacy runs, custom lit gate entries, deck removals and rebuilds with patio covers to match.
Turf & Irrigation
New sod and artificial turf installation, irrigation work, and honest fixes when a section starts sinking or a line stops running years later.
Greenhouses & Garden Structures
Full greenhouse kit assembly, raised bed planters and the paths and small fencing that go around them.
Kitchen & Bath Remodels
Custom cabinetry, stone counters, tiled walk-in showers and freestanding tubs, built under the same CCB general construction license as the outdoor work.
Site Work & Erosion Control
Grading, drainage, deer and pest-resistant planting, wind protection, and gorse removal, the coastal-specific job most landscapers around here won't touch.
About Us
Run by Geoffrey and Holly Smith.
Geoffrey Smith is the company's licensed general contractor and lead supervisor on construction projects, with an extensive background in building. Holly Smith handles landscape design and consulting. Gardening has been her passion since childhood, and at sixteen she was named the Arizona State FFA champion in both floriculture and landscape design.
Every design factors in ADA accessibility, safe space for kids and pets, erosion control, deer and pest resistance, privacy, drainage and wind protection, built to hold up on the Oregon coast without losing the affordable side of the equation.

Two Licenses, One Point of Contact
The same crew that builds your fence can remodel your kitchen.
Most landscape outfits stop at the property line. By the Sea Home & Gardens holds an Oregon Landscape Contractors Board license, LCB #100399, for the outdoor work, and an Oregon Construction Contractors Board license, CCB #215437, for everything inside the walls: kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, deck rebuilds and structural work.
On bigger projects that means one crew coordinating the concrete, electrical and plumbing subcontractors directly, instead of a homeowner juggling three separate hires.

A recent job had several projects stacked into one: an old fence removed and a two-rail fence extended around the property, an old deck torn out and rebuilt with a new patio cover secured to it, and a 12 by 14 and a half foot greenhouse kit assembled with a surrounding fence, new raised bed planters and a path built from the deck to the greenhouse. Bobby and the crew coordinated the concrete, electrical and plumbing subs themselves and kept the homeowners informed the whole way through.
